Buffalo Days 2026

BUFFALO DAYS 2026  |   JULY 9TH to the 12TH

Buffalo Days is a vibrant annual summer festival held in the beautiful lakeside community of Buffalo Point, Manitoba, along the shores of Lake of the Woods.

What started as a grassroots initiative by local organizers to bring neighbors together and showcase the unique community has grown into a highly anticipated multi-day celebration that attracts locals, campers, and visitors from all over the surrounding region.

The festival is packed with classic, all-ages summer fun, blending family activities with the resort community’s natural lakeside lifestyle:

Thursday, July 9th

• Pontoon Rides –  10am to 12pm:$5 per ride to tour the bay! *In the event of rain or high winds, the pontoon rides will be cancelled.
• Buffalo Hunt –  Beginning at 4:30pm: 4 Buffalos = 4 Prizes | No fee to play the game. Read the clues, figure out the area, and find the Buffalo *More details on poster below
• Merchandise Bingo –  6pm to 8:30pm: 18+ EVENT – LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE – FREE EVENT – Come and enjoy an evening of games and community!

Friday, July 10th

• Battle of the Shores Golf Tournament –  1pm Shotgun Start, 6pm Meal: Open to All Buffalo Point Residents and Seasonal Campers $50 for members | $70 for non-members • Cart rental is additional *More details on poster below
• Youth Hangout –  6pm to 10pm: For ages 10+. The event features a variety of activities including a pizza and sundae bar, Nintendo Switch, and outdoor games, with local transportation available upon request for those who pre-register by Tuesday, July 7th.

Saturday, July 11th

• Family Fun Day – 12pm to 4pm: Family & Kids’ Activities: The weekend features NEW bouncy castles, a mechanical bull, outdoor games, face painting, a petting zoo, and barrel rides.
• Evening Entertainment – Band 6:30pm to 10:30pm, Fireworks to Follow: As night falls, the community gathers at the resort centre for live music, excellent food at the bistro, and a spectacular fireworks display over the water.

Sunday Show July 12th

• Beach and Day Car – 11am to 3pm:The celebration makes full use of Buffalo Point’s amenities, featuring sandcastle building competitions on the beach, pontoon boat rides, a golf tournament, and a popular Marina Car Show & Shine.

Community Spirit: Driven by a passionate network of local volunteers, Buffalo Days also uses its platform to support critical regional causes, raising funds for essential services like STARS air ambulance.

It is the perfect reflection of Buffalo Point’s welcoming spirit—an energetic weekend of lake life, live music, and community pride.
